Abstract

Priming, preventing. - Steam passes from a boiler through two or more inclined open cylindrical vessels e, f arranged wholly above the boiler water level and connected at their middle parts to short branches c, d on the steam outlet pipe a. Choke diaphragms n are fitted in the passages between the vessels and the steam pipe. Water is led off from the bottom of the vessels through non-return valves or through pipes k dipping into the boiler water.
