Abstract

926,340. Aerials. CHELTVIEW TELEVISION Ltd. Nov. 17, 1959 [Nov. 19, 1958], No. 37166/58. Class 40 (7). A multi-element aerial comprises a dipole and one or more parasitic elements mounted on a metal boom, a straight rod connecting a point on one limb of the dipole electrically to a point on the boom spaced from the dipole. The rod 5 is connected to the dipole limb 2a which has the inner conductor of a coaxial feeder connected to it, and at its other end is fixed to the boom 1. In the embodiment illustrated, this point is closed to the parasitic element 4 mounting clip. By varying the point of connection of the rod 5 to the dipole limb 2a correct matching of the feeder to the dipole may be attained.
