Abstract

700,167. Aerials. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Feb. 12, 1951 [Feb. 10, 1950], No. 3426/50. Class 40 (7) An aerial comprising a primary element and a reflector and/or director elements, as shown in Fig. I or Fig. 2, is supported upon a mast attached to the lower end of one of the aerial elements. The aerial is insulated from the metal mast 9 or 22, by means of an insulating member 8 or 21, into which the aerial element and the mast are screwed. The mast may be connected to the primary element or to a reflector or director. When the mast and aerial elements comprise hollow metal tubing, the aerial feeder may be disposed within the mast and appropriate ones of the elements, suitable apertures therefor being formed in the insulating connecting members.
