Abstract

894,962. Aerials, SHARDOW ELECTRIC WIRES Ltd. Sept. 2, 1959 [Sept. 5, 1958], No. 28576/58. Class 40(7). An aerial for receiving signals in two wavebands comprises a loop aerial 10, 10a, for the longer wavelength, and a dipole array 13, 13d, 13v, for the shorter wavelength, connected by a matching section 14 and having a single feed C to the receiver. The loop aerial swivels about the insulator 12 for separate orientation of the aerials. The loop and/or the dipole 13 may be replaced by a folded dipole and the loop may be loaded.
