An eight-feeder circular knitting-machine has needle jacks with butts of differing length adapted to be engaged by cams 32 ... 38 at alternate feeds so that a repeat pattern may be made embracing eight courses and four wales in which during a single revolution of the needle cylinder tuck stitches are drawn in alternate courses at alternate feeds to produce the fabric illustrated in Fig. 4. The needle and jack cams for the machine are actuated by levers controlled by cams housed in a drum coaxial with the needle cylinder.
