Abstract
917,143. Fluid-pressure jacks. BEUKENBERG, H., and BEUKENBERG, H., [trading as MASCHINENFABRIK GLUCKAUF GUNTHER KLERNER]. April 27, 1959 [April 25, 1958], No. 14318/59. Class 78 (3). [Also in Group XXVI] The composite piston of a double-acting hydraulic jack device comprises two sleeves 8, 9 separated by a split thrust ring 13 which is located in a groove 12 in the piston-rod and embraced by a flange 14 on the sleeve 8, the two sleeves being retained between a shoulder 10 and a spring-ring 15 on the end of the rod. The sleeves 8, 9 are sealed with the rod by resilient rings 16 and are each provided with a packing-ring 17. In operation, the thrust of the pressure fluid is taken by the ring 13 and not by the shoulder 10 or the spring ring 15.
