925,412. Piston packing; cylinders. BERTHOUD & CIE S.A. Sept. 22, 1959 [Sept. 22, 1958], No. 32165/59. Class 122 (1). [Also in Group XXVIII] A pump plunger is packed by a rubber &c. packing ring 25 clamped between a head 24 secured to the end of the plunger rod 23 and a sleeve 26 which is axially movable on the rod to adjust the pressure between the packing-ring and the cylinder 4 by a nut 29 screwed in the rod 23 and abutting the end 28 of the sleeve outside the pump body 1. The cylinder 4 is clamped by bolts 3 between body parts 1 and 2 and is sealed thereto by packing-rings 5 and 6, respectively.
