912,868. Electropolishing. SIEMENSSCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. Nov. 18, 1960 [Nov. 20, 1959], No. 39836/60. Class 41. A bath for eleotropolishing of metals (e.g. Cu and A1) or alloys (e.g. Ni-Cr, steel or brass), consists of a mixture of 1-200 gms. of fluoboric acid per litre of solution, 50-250 gms. of water per litre of solution and phosphoric acid. The water content may be adjusted by adding phosphorus pentoxide. The polishing can be carried out at a temperature of 20-50‹ C. (preferably 30-40‹ C.) and with a current density of 20-50 amps/dm.<SP>2</SP> (preferably 30-40 amps/dm.<SP>2</SP>).
