912,027. Valves. SCHONEBECKER BRUNNENFILTER G.m.b.H. Aug. 11, 1960, No. 27886/60. Class 135. A pinch cock has an axial bore lined with a tube 2 of flexible material and a slide 5 provided with a boss 8 mounted between guiding surfaces 14 to constrain the slide against lateral movement during the closing operation of the pinch cock. The slide 5 is fast with the boss 8 and with a spindle 6 engaged by an axiallyfixed nut 7 secured to a hand wheel 9. The slide 5 may be of light metal and the collar 8 of steel. In a second embodiment, the slide is carried by a long sleeve having a bore in screw-threaded engagement with an axiallyfixed spindle.
