898,819. Yarns and threads. DU FONT DE NEMOURS & CO., E. I. May 10, 1960 [May 11, 1959], No. 16546/60. Drawings to Specification. Class 120(3) [Also in Group VIII] Yarns used for a stretch resistant knitted fabric may be composed of either 100% synthetic organic linear polymeric filamentary material or of a mixture of at least 50% of such filamentary material with other filamentary material such as natural and/or cellulosic fibres or filaments. The fibres and filaments making up the yarn may be crimped or uncrimped, bulked or unbulked, drawn or undrawn and may be of mixed denier and length. Examples of highly polymeric fibre forming material quoted include polyamides, copolyamides, polyesters and copolyesters, polyacrylonitrile, copolymers of acrylonitrile with other monomers, sodium styrene sulphonate terpolymers of acrylonitrile/methyl acrylate/sodium styrene sulphonate vinyl and vinylidene polymers and co-polymers, polycarbonates, polyurethanes, polyesteramides, polyethylenes, polypropylenes and fluorinated ethylene polymers and copolymers.
