875,647. Double-twist spindles. ARUNDEL COULTHARD & CO. Ltd. Nov. 4, 1959 [Dec. 22, 1958], No. 41270/58. Class 120(2) A two-for-one twisting spindle has a stationary tube i through which a yarn passes to the rotating eye k of the spindle a and a stationary tube j of nylon or other synthetic material so positioned between the tube i and spindle a that the yarn does not contact the spindle a or the edge x of a spinning flange y. The tubes i, j, are releasably coupled by a spring o. A flyer g has a part v which rides on a friction pad w of a hub s fixed to the tube i, which also carries a tensioning device h. There is an oiling device m for a roller bearing n between the spindle a and a stationary spindle c carrying the package.
