Abstract
755,588. Yarn tensioning device. BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK AKT.-GES. Sept. 24, 1954 [Sept. 26, 1953], No. 27692/54. Class 120 (2). In a yarn tensioning device for twisting spindles, a wire 4 which is adapted to guide and tension the yarn from the delivery bobbin 12 and is rotatable about the axis of the bobbin by the yarn, has two legs 5 and 6, one of which is mounted, with sufficient clearance to prevent the passage of the yarn being hindered, for rotation in a yarn entry guide element 2 arranged in or on the upper end of a bobbin tube and the other of which is rotatable about the guide element and has a yarn guide element 10 and a bent-in part 7 which bears against and is braked by an external shoulder 8 on the guide element 2 and is spaced from a head portion 9 of the guide element 2, over which the yarn passes on its way into the bobbin, to prevent jamming of the yarn. The guide element 2 may be arranged to fit resiliently into the bobbin tube or to be clamped externally over the bobbin tube. A magnet 14, the position of which can be adjusted by discs 15, or weights on the leg 5, may be provided to vary the frictional resistance on the wire and thus the tension in the yarn.
