Abstract

873,172. Waste fittings; traps. BARKING BRASSWARE CO. Ltd. Nov. 26, 1957 [Dec. 6, 1956], No. 37385/56. Classes 26 and 33. [Also in Group XXVIII] A trapped waste fitting for attachment to the outlet aperture of a sink, washbasin and the like comprises a fitting 1 located therien, a U- shaped tube 12 with one arm secured to an outlet tube 18, the other being secured to an extension 10 having at its other end a flange 7 with an annular recess 8 with leak-preventing means, e.g. a toroidal sealing ring 9, therein, and means for securing the extension 10 to the fitting 1. As securing means the fitting 1 may have an apertured base 2 through which passes a screw 3 received by a threaded socket 4 in a bridge 5 in the member 6 secured thereto to form one end of the extension 10 which may be received telescopically in forming a joint by the arm 11 of the tube 12, which is suitablyjointed to the tube 18, around which may be placed a tongued rosette 22 where it passes through a wall.
