A waste fitting for a washbasin, sink or the like comprises a tubular part 1 which can be passed through the opening 18 in the sink 16 from beneath and which has a trap 14 non- detachably secured to it as by brazing, welding or soldering, and a flange part 5 attachable to the tubular part by screw-threads as shown, or by a bayonet or similar fixing, to engage the inside of the sink. A back-nut 3 is adjustable on the part 1 to enable use with sinks of various thicknesses, packing 17 and 19 being provided, and slots 21 co-operate with a passage 22 in the sink body to provide an overflow passage to waste.
