In a U-shaped liquid sealing trap, the inlet leg a has a coupling b for attachment to the shank of a basin, sink or the like, and the outlet leg c is adapted to receive a waste pipe k by a spigot-and-socket connexion so, that when the coupling is undone, the trap may be withdrawn from both the shank and the waste pipe. As shown, a cylindrical chamber d is provided to prevent siphonic action emptying the trap, and an enlarged neck g carries a liner h and packing ring into which a sleeve m attached to the waste pipe fits.
