Abstract

799,079. Waste-plugs for baths, basins, &c. CHAPLIN, G. June 27, 1957 [March 29, 1956], No. 9808/56. Class 26. A closure plug for a waste outlet fitting of a lavatory basin sink, bath and the like comprises a member 1 having an annular rim 9 engaging the flange 10 of an outlet fitting 8 and connected by the threaded shank 3 of an embedded bolt 4 with an outlet stopper 5 of resilient material such as rubber having a suction cup 11. The shank 3 is received in an opening 2 in the member 1, which has lugs 7 for manual rotation after inserting the stopper, resulting firstly in finger-tightness thereof on the flange 10 and then removal of the stopper.
