A resilient trap for a washbasin or the like comprises a housing 8 with internal annular groove 9 and an inner tube 4 with corresponding external flange 6a and an internal groove 6, so that the parts may be frictionally secured over a flange 3 on a basin outlet and the tube 4 may be secure against becoming dislodged when the trap is squeezed by hand to dislodge accumulated matter.
