793,066. Traps. ECONOMIC WATER SOFTENERS, Ltd. Jan. 1, 1957 [Oct. 1, 1955], No. 27994/55. Class 33. A re-sealing trap for use with sinks and other liquid containers, comprises an outlet 4 and an inlet 5 which is connected to a dip-tube 1 the end of which terminates short of the bottom of flask 3. Sleeve 8, with a vent 12, surrounds the dip-tube, and is formed with lip 13 around the external periphery of its lower end which constricts space 11. The volume of space 11 is such that liquid which is trapped there during syphoning, will flow back to the bottom of the flask when syphoning ceases, and cover the end of the dip tube, thereby sealing the inlet tube. Slack-ening or tightening of the flask is facilitated by striking the radial peg 14 in the appropriate direction with a hammer.
