Abstract

871,531. Stud, and socket fastenings; clips. F.T. PRODUCTS Ltd. Oct. 2, 1957 [Oct. 4, 1956], No. 30327/56. Class 44. A fastener comprises a single strip of resilient material having broad faces and relatively narrow edges, the strip being formed with an elongate hole 21 lying substantially along the broad faces of the strip and being bent along a lower transverse to the longitudinal axis to the form of a stud 26 and a base 30, the stud consisting of two limbs 28, 29 formed at one pair of adjacent ends to form a broad nose 27 and joined at the other pair of adjacent ends to the base, a said limb being formed in its external broad face with a convex snap engaging elbow 32 directed oppositely away from the other limb and the nose having its broad faces bowed about an axis approximately parallel to the longitudinal axis of that portion of the strip forming the stud. As shown the base is of hook-like shape. Each limb is formed with a said elbow 32 and the hole 21 extends the web and both limbs of the base. The fastener is made as claimed in Specification 871,533.
