876,471. Furniture tips. UNITED-CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. April 27, 1960 [April 28, 1959], No. 14831/60. Class 134 A furniture support comprises a base member 1 moulded from flexible material e.g. a synthetic plastic, a furniture-engaging member 2 assembled with the base member, and a flexible shank 6 connected at one end to the base and at the other end to the furniture-engaging member, the members 1 and 2 having co-operating curved surfaces 8, 9 to permit them to swivel relatively to one another. As shown, the shank 6 is integral with the base 1 and is secured to the member 2 by a rivet-like portion 10, Fig. 2, or by a metal fastener formed with fingers 14, Fig. 3, engaging the shank and a pair of legs 15 which may engage the inner wall of leg 16.
