Abstract

1481864 Clip UNITED-CARR Ltd 23 May 1975 [17 June 1974] 26745/74 Heading E2B A clip 10 for attaching an article 11 to a support member 12 having a stud 13 with a head 25, comprises a body 14, the latter having portions 16, 17 with flat under-surfaces 18, 19 respectively for engagement with the support member 12, an elongate slot 21 with a portion 22 which connects portions 23, a recess 24 for receiving a head 25 of the stud 25 therein, and ramp surfaces 26. The clip may be made from synthetic plastics material. In assembling, the head 25 of stud 13 is passed through one of the apertures 23 and the clip is then moved so that the head 25 can enter the recess 24, the ramp surfaces 26 and resilience of the clip facilitating the relative movement. The article 11, having inturned flanges 34, 35, is then engaged with the clip 10, having grooves 31, 32 formed in legs 27, 28 respectively of the clip said legs having surfaces 29, 30 respectively which are urged into engagement with the support member 12.
