Abstract

1,216,284. Stud and socket fastenings; clips. A. V. RAYMOND. 5 June, 1969 [7 June, 1968], No. 28475/69: Addition to 1149268. Heading E2B. A resilient synthetic plastics clip 10 for attachment to a support provided with a headed pin 26 projecting therefrom, comprises a body portion 11 having an aperture 12 extending thereithrough and four resilient tongues 13-16 which project into the aperture and lie wholly within the depth of the body portion, the tongues defining a substantially, circular cylindrical bore 19 and being arranged on two diagonals of the bore, each pair of adjacent tongues defining a recess 20 or 21 and a tapered guideway whereby the headed pin 26 can be passed through the recess 20 or 21 and then moved laterally through the guideway so as to separate the end portions on the tongues and snap engage in the bore 19. The body portion is formed with undercut sides on to which a moulding (not shown) may be snap engaged.
