Abstract

1,149,268. Stud and socket fastenings. A. V. RAYMOND [trading as A. RAYMOND DRUCKKNOPF - & METALLWARENFABRIK]. 29 July, 1966 [2 Aug., 1965], No. 34108/66. Heading E2B. A resilient synthetic plastics clip for attachment to a support 23 provided with a headed pin 24 projecting therefrom comprises a body portion 11 having an undersurface and an upper surface, an aperture 12 therethrough and two or more resilient tongues which project into the aperture and lie wholly within the depth of the body portion, the tongues defining a. bore and the dimensions of the clip in relation to the headed pin being such that the head of the pin can be forced upwardly through the bore by flexing the tongues upwardly and outwardly, the tongues thereafter returning behind the head of the pin to retain the clip on the support. In the construction shown the clip has four of the tongues 13 to 16 which are identical and which are arranged symmetrically, the ends of the tongues being arcuate. In a modification the body portion of the clip has a central rectangular said aperture and two identical tongues project from opposite sides of it, the ends of the tongues also being arcuate. In a further construction the clip is formed with a rectangular said aperture and two resilient tongues extend generally in parallel from one side of the aperture and intermediate their length the tongues are formed with facing arcuate recesses which define part of the periphery of the bore. The body portion of each clip is formed with two parallel side walls each of which is undercut to engage a moulding.
