1,146,796. Stud-and-socket fasteners. A. RAYMOND. 19 July, 1967 [20 July, 1966], No. 33098/67. Heading E2B. A fastener of resilient plastics material has a head 11 and a shank formed by two spaced legs 15, 16, one of which has an inclined surface 17 for engaging the edge of an aperture in a panel 20 and the other of which is formed with a shoulder 18 lying in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the shank for engaging beneath the panel at the opposite part of the aperture. Beneath the plane of the shoulder 18, the legs have part-conical surfaces. The head may be in the form of a closure member as shown or it may have a cable-engaging groove or be formed with a lug to retain a moulding or with both an aperture to receive a shaft and a lug for engaging an edge of a flange or panel.
