Abstract

748,765. Stud and socket fasteners. F.T. PRODUCTS, Ltd. Nov. 6, 1953 [Nov. 7, 1952; Nov. 14, 1952], Nos. 28168/52 and 28795/52. Class 44. A resilient fastener comprises a single strip of metal having one portion of its length wider than the other, the narrow portion being bent about transverse lines into a U-shaped hook 17 which lies adjacent the stud, the major axis of the stud passing through both limbs of the hook. As shown, the stud is bent so that it overlies the upper limb 18 of the hook 17 and it is formed with a foot 27 on its free limb and with elbows 23, 35 in each limb. Lugs 15, 16 are provided adjacent the junction of the stud with the hook and these aid the engagement of the hook with a trim pad or like article to be fastened. The foot 27 may be the width of the stud or wider. The elbow 25 may be omitted if desired. Specification 713,107 is referred to.
