In a fastener according to the parent Specification the U-shaped member 10 has a web 11 and two limbs 12, 13, each limb being sheared along its length to comprise an outwardly directed prong 19 and two inwardly directed claws 17, the prong and claws of each limb extending over a major part of the length of the limb. Furthermore the inner member 20 is formed with flanges 21, 22 and a slot 25.
