A fastener, used for securing thermal insulation, comprises a flexible metal strip 1 having an embossed section 3 at one end raised above the surface of the strip, and bounded by two slits 4, 5 across the strip and adapted to receive the other end 2 of the strip. The end 2 may be folded back over the section 3.
