[Class 44] [Also in Group XIIII A band clip device particularly for holding covering material 2 on a pipe 1 comprises a flexible band 3 of metal, webbing &c. having a spring 4 secured thereto at or near one end, the other end carrying a hook 7 adapted to engage in one or other of a series of eyelets 6 provided towards the other end of the band: When the band is of webbing, the hook may engage in the mesh of the webbing or in a metallic eyelet. Preferably the band is of steel with funnel-shaped eyelets stamped out. The bands may be corrugated or serrated, and have distinctive colours identified with the contents of the pipe. A tool resembling a button hook may be used to pull the hook into engagement.
