Abstract

860,475. Two-part couplings. ROBINSON MACHINE WORKS Inc. Oct. 27, 1958, No. 34303/58. Class 38 (1). In a plug-and-socket connector of the type having mating outer casings 18, 38, the end of casing 18 is formed with a number of resilient tongues 34 having inturned ends 36, and the end of casing 38 is formed with a number of recesses 48 terminating in abrupt shoulders 50 behind which the tongues 34 snap when the coupling parts are engaged. The parts are released by turning them relative to one another so that the tongues ride out of the recesses on to lands 52.
