847,450. Insulating cable joints and terminals; cable end sleeves. SIEMENS-SCHUCKERTWERKE A. G. Jan. 29, 1959 [Jan. 31, 1958], No. 3276/59. Classes 36 and 38(1). The ends of lead sheathed cables 2 terminating in a cast resin body 1 have tightly-fitting brass sleeves 3 round them with rings 4 of rubber secured over the sleeves by wire binding 5, to prevent damage to the sheath upon contraction of the cast resin. Fig. 2 shows a similar application for the termination of a cable.
