Abstract
844,432. Heating air; tubular heat exchange elements. SVENSKA AKTIEBOLAGET GASACCUMULATOR. Nov. 27, 1958 [Dec. 10, 1957], No. 38299/58: Class 64(3) A heat exchanger such as convector radiator comprises a pair of substantially horizontal tubes 1, 2 mounted one above the other and extending between partitioned header 3 and a return header 4. An assembly of fins extends along the entire length of the tubes each fin 5 being mounted on both tubes and provided with angled vertical rims 6 serving as distance members between adjacent fins which together define vertical air channels 7 at the sides of the tubes. Heating fluid admitted to the upper compartment of header 3 flows serially through the tubes 1, 2 to the lower compartment of that header, a venting device 15 having an air valve 16 being provided in the return header 4.
