Abstract

Ozonized steam is applied to hair to accelerate or improve the action of dyes, bleaches or waving lotions. The bleaching solution may contain hydrogen peroxide or ammonia and is applied to the hair prior to application of the ozonized steam, which is generated in a helmet applied to the head. In a cold waving process in which a reducing solution is followed by a neutralizing solution, e.g. of hydrogen peroxide containing tartaric or citric acid, the ozonized steam is applied to the hair while still wet with the neutralizing solution.
