Abstract

805,363. Coating with pre-formed sheets. ZIEGLER, W. Dec. 24, 1954 [Dec. 24, 1953], No. 37331/54. Class 93 [Also in Groups VIII and XIII] A sound-absorbing covering consisting of a sheet of wool felt 5 impregnated with bitumen and having fibrous, sound-porous major surfaces has applied thereto a layer of bitument 7 which is allowed to become non-adhesive; the sheet is then shaped and the bitumen layer or a surface 6 to which it is to be applied is heated, the sheet is placed over a surface with the soundporous surface visible, and the bitumen allowed to cool. The sheet 5 may be corrugated and may enclose air cushions 8, or it may be plain.
