Abstract

<PICT:0803418/III/1> A paint roller comprises a sleeve A of polyurethane or other synthetic foam material mounted on a tubular core B which is rotatable on a spindle D with which is associated a handle, the core B comprising a rigid tube of diameter a little greater than the diameter of the spindle D, the ends of the core B being spigotally engaged by end discs C abutting the sleeve A and freely rotatable on the spindle D. The discs C have hubs c1 which engage the tube B, and a wire clip E engaging a circumferential groove d1 in the spindle D co-operates with a shoulder d2 on the spindle D in locating the assembly on the spindle.
