Abstract

The roller unit is used for applying paint to large surfaces and comprises a cranked wire handle (1) for holding an interchangeable roller (6). This latter is made up from a rigid cylindrical liner (6a) covered with a foam or fiber outer layer (6b). The roller is fitted onto the handle by a push on-pull off action. Each end of the handle has a plastic end piece (3a, 3b), separated by a spacer (4). Each end piece has several radial fins (5a, 5b) along its length, these being flexible and an interference fit inside the roller liner.
