Abstract

The paint roller has an internal reservoir filled with paint, this being extruded through perforations (20) in the roller body (12) and distributed through an outer cover or sleeve (22). The roller has a cranked handle (15, 16) for applying the paint. The perforations are arranged in a helical pattern, acting as an endless screw to give an even spread to the paint. This is filled through a hole (25, 26) in the end (13) of the roller, another hole (27, 28) enabling air to escape. The outer cover is longer than the roller, its ends being turned inwards and gripped.
