Abstract

A cylindrical shell (5), with a set of sixty holes in five rows, has a soft material (paint) applicator sleeve (10), one end of the shell having an integral wall through which the spindle (6) passes, and a closure plate (7) at the other end is secured by a nut (8) on the spindle. This part is relatively short, and is used for small areas, while a similar part can be fitted to form a double length, for large areas. The extension consists of a similar perforated shell (11) which fits into the dished closure plate (7). The first shell has a hole each end fitted with a plug (9) which is removed to fill the interior with paint. The plug through the closure plate is removed when the extension is fitted, so that paint travels into both shells.
