Abstract

The roller comprises a handle and a bent bar on which the roller proper fits, this consisting of a removable plush-covered sleeve (6). The latter is a press-fit onto two supports (7, 8) with cylindrical surfaces and slightly elastic, held apart by a tubular distance piece (13). The outer support (7) is held in place by a self-locking stop. It is covered by the plush, which is wound onto it in a spiral pattern and glued into place. The support material can have an elasticity just sufficient to hold the sleeve in place, and the supports can have axial ribs by which they engage the sleeve. There can be a stop on the inner one to limit the distance for which the sleeve can be pressed on over it.
