Abstract

The tool has a rectangular metal plate (1) bearing emery paper (6) on one major face and an elongated rod handle (12) emanating centrally from the opposed face and features sprung 'U' clips (7) retaining the emery paper and a cardan joint (13, 15) between handle (12) and plate. The plate is lined with rubber (4) and padding (5) to effect even emery paper (6) support, and reverse returned plate rims (2) support the spring clips (7). The cardan joint embodies a cardan fork (13) fitting longitudinally or transversely on the plate, and a roller (15) fitting between fork arms and arranged with its axis perpendicular to that of the fork, this roller finally receiving the handle end (16).
