In a plasterer's trowel comprising a flat metal float blade 2 and a handle having a tang 4 fixed thereon, a metal mounting strip 1 of dovetail cross-section is welded on the back of the float blade and the base of the tang has a dovetail groove for slidably engaging the mounting strip.
