A cylindrical paint roller A for a light duty paint applicator consists wholly of foamed plastic, e.g. polyurethane, having a cylindrical bore B by means of which it may be mounted upon a hollow rigid spindle C, on which it is held by end flanges D and washers E. One flange at least is removable, and is provided with a <PICT:0768575/III/1> <PICT:0768575/III/2> hollow spigot d for insertion into the end of the spindle.
