Abstract

834,193. Warp beams. GROB, W. Nov. 6, 1958 [Nov. 19, 1957], No. 35645/58. Addition to 794,533. Class 142(2) A warp beam is roughened by applying a strip of glass paper 4, or by sandblasting the whole or part of the circumference, so that the warp threads cling to it. The beam barrel may be moulded from synthetic resin, complete with the roughened surface and the threads 3 for the end flanges. A hand tool consisting of a bar 5 is used to push the ends of the threads under the first layer.
