Abstract

803,214. Side-delivery rakes. VAN DER LELY, N.V., C. Jan. 28, 1955 [Jan. 29, 1954], No. 22905/56. Divided out of 802,782. Class 6(3). A hay rake comprises wheels 20 each provided with bearings 21 for rods 22 which are guided by a ring 28. Each rod is formed with a closed loop 23 which is situated above the rim of the wheel and the loops of all the rods are joined by a helical spring 30. As the wheel is rotated by contact of the rods with the ground each rod contacts the ground and is then elevated clear of the ground, the spring 30 limiting the movement of each rod through the bearing 21.
