Abstract
815,747. Side-delivery rakes. VAN DER LELY N. V., C. Sept. 20, 1955 [Sept. 23, 1954], No. 26857/55. Class 6(3). In a raking device of the kind having rake. wheels 13, 14, 17, 18 arranged in groups, one rake wheel 13, 14 of each group is adjustable about a vertical axis 9, 10 and also about a second vertical axis 5, 6 the second rake-wheel 17, 18 being adjustable about the second axis only, whereby the rake-wheels may occupy positions wherein they co-operate in pairs Fig. 1, wherein they operate singly, Fig. 3, or wherein they all co-operate for side-delivery Fig. 4, (not shown). The main frame comprises an elevated beam 1 having a pivoted drawbar 3, and being supported on castor-wheels 27, 28 the swivel-axis of either of which can be locked. The rake-wheel 13 is mounted on a stub-axle 11 pivoted on the lower end of a cranked beam 7, the other, upper, end of which is pivoted on the frame about the vertical axis 5. The stub-axle 15 carrying the rake-wheel 17, and the arm 19 carrying the castor 27 are also pivoted about the axis 5 and all the members 11, 15, 7, 19 may be locked in any adjusted position.
