A haymaking machine comprises a pivoted parallelogram frame 1-8, carrying a row of rake-wheels 13-18, half of the number of rakewheels being detachable and mountable in a second position, Fig. 2, in which the rakewheels are arranged in groups of two in V- formation. The frame comprises two main beams 1, 2 interconnected by parallel crossbeams 3-8 each having a bearing for a rakewheel crank. Three ground-wheels 9, 10, 11 are provided, two of which are casters and the rearmost, 12, a lockable swivel-wheel. The configuration of the parallelogram is maintained by an arcuate stay 40 connected between a cross-beam 4 and a bearing on the beam 1 and adjustably lockable in position. In the second position, Fig. 2, alternate rake wheels are mounted on short detachable curved members 19, 20, 21 on the cross-bars. In this position, Fig, 3, the rake-wheels can be either vertical or inclined thereto, the bearing 31 on the cross-bar being adjustable about a horizontal pivot 33 and the bearing on the arm 19 being double (22, 25). When the rake-wheels are non-vertical their tines inter-engage. The device can occupy a third position (dotted in Fig. I) in which the rake-wheels operate separately on the crop, for tedding.
