A tractor-mounted haymaking machine having power-driven rake-wheels 34, 35, 36 comprises two parts pivoted together about a horizontal axis, the first part being connected to the tractor and the second part carrying the rake-wheels, the second part being rotatable through 180 degrees about the axis to convert the machine from a tedder to a side-delivery rake. The first frame-part comprises a tube 23 adjustably mounted in a horizontal plane on a supporting frame 16, 17 carried by tractor draught links 3, 4, 5, the whole machine being wheel-less and being supported by a spring 18 connected between the top hitch-point 13 and the frame-member 17. The second frame-part consists of a beam 26 carrying tubes 25, 27, 28 through which pass axles 31, 32, 33 carrying the rake-wheels the axles 31, 33 being driven by gearing 37, 38, 45 from the axle 32 which passes through the tube 23 and is connected by gearing 47 to a shaft driven from the tractor power take-off. The first and second frameparts have mating flanges where they meet and are resiliently connected together by springs, Fig. 4 (not shown), so that limited rotary movement of the second part about the first can occur. When the second part is inverted, about the axis of the shaft 32, the rake-wheels no longer co-operate and the device operates as a tedder.
