Abstract
793,434. Hay-making. VAN DER LELY N.V., C. June 18, 1954 [July 6, 1953]. No. 11628/56. Divided out of 793,431. Class 6(3). A device for laterally displacing crop lying on the ground comprising a plurality of rake wheels rotatable by contact with the ground is characterized in that a group consisting of at least two rake wheels 9, 10 is rotatable about a horizontal hinge axle. As shown, the rake wheels 9, 10 are rotatable on axles 13, 14 connected by a coupling member 8 to an arm 7 provided with a shaft 6 rotatably mounted in a tubular member 5 fixed to a beam 4. The beam is connected by a member 3 to a frame 2 mounted on a tractor. A segment 17 is mounted on the arm 7 and the axles 13, 14 may be secured to the segments 17 by pins. The rake wheels may be yieldably mounted by means of a spring 19 connected to an arm 20 on each axle and to a member 18 rotatably mounted on the member 8 and fixed relatively to the segment 17.
