Relates to a haymaking machine of the type having oblique rake-wheels 15-20 which can be disposed on a frame 1 in three or more working arrangements, in one of which arrangements rake wheels are mounted on an additional support 37 which can be removed or displaced to an inoperative position when out of use. According to the invention the additional support 37 is connected to the frame 1 near the front thereof. The main frame 1 comprises beams 2, 3, the beam 2 having four bearings 7, 8, 9, 10 for rake-wheel cranks 36 and the beam 3 having three such bearings. The beam 3 is supported on a lockable swivel-wheel 23 and the beam 2 on a swivel-wheel 22 carried by an arm 28 pivoted at 29 to the beam so that it can be moved about the pivot to the end of the beam when four rake-wheels are carried on the beam. The front of the frame is supported on a swivel-wheel 21 which is attached to the drawbar 26 so as to swing therewith. The additional support is attached to the frame by a horizontal pivot 38 about which it can be swung to an inoperative position. For side-delivery, the rakewheels can be mounted in a single block of four on the beam 2; for turning three small swaths, the rake-wheels can be mounted, as shown, in three groups of two, and for turning larger swaths, the additional support is swung out of use and three rake-wheels are mounted on each of the beams 2, 3. For tedding, the rearmost rake wheel of each pair in Fig. 1 is raised slightly from the ground. This can be effected by a hand lever 47, operating, through chains 51, 54, and bell-cranks 53, 58, on rods 44 to which the ends of supporting springs 41 for the cranks 36 are attached.
