Abstract

826,541. Side-delivery rakes. VAN DER LELY N. V., C. Nov. 22, 1955 [Nov. 26, 1954], No. 33448/55. Class 6(3). In a side-delivery rake of the type having rake-wheels rotated by ground-contact and in which the rake-wheels may be mounted in a single line on a frame-member 16 for sidedelivery and in two or more lines for swathturning, a further line of rake-wheels 2, 3 may be mounted on an arm 1 so as to lie parallel to those on the member 16 but rearwardly thereof, the arm 1 being detachable from the main frame or pivoted to it so as to be swingable upwardly when not required. The main frame comprises beams 11 and 16 fitted with sockets for the reception of rake-wheel cranks, the frame being carried on castors. The L-shaped arm 1 is supported on a castor 4 at one end and is secured by a pivoted fork to the frame member 16. The rearmost rake wheel of each group may be adjustable in relation to the ground and the foremost wheel may be resiliently supported, Fig. 6 (not shown). Specification 826,542 is referred to.
