850,218. Haymaking machines. BAYERISCHE PFLUGFABRIK G.m.b.H. Dec. 14, 1956 [Jan. 17, 1956], No. 38216/56. Class 6(3). In a haymaking machine of the type having rakewheels 12 which are adjustable relatively to the line of travel for different operations, such as swath-turning and tedding, the frame comprises an articulated parallelogram 3, 4, the angles of which may be adjusted, to vary the planes of rotation of the rakewheels, by a screw-adjustment 8. The rakewheels are mounted on cranks 15 pivoted to cross-pieces 2, 2<SP>1</SP>, 2<SP>11</SP> on the frame and supported by springs 16. The cross-pieces are cranked, at 21, so that the pivots 10<SP>1</SP>, 10<SP>11</SP>, are co-planar with the rake-wheels, so that the wheels do not strike against the frame-member 4 when steeply angled. Castor wheels 6, 7 and a wheel 5 support the frame, the plane of rotation of the wheel 5 being lockable.
